Films that need reviews

A title gets a Critic Score once 3 critics have published on it. These are the films closest to one, or most deserving of a first review. Publish on your own outlet as you normally would, positive or negative, and we link it.

Who qualifies

  • An established critical practice at a stable venue, and at least one published review of AI-made work. Six or more in twelve months makes a specialist critic.
  • A public, attributable byline: a real name, or a stable long-running identity.
  • A venue with an archive: an outlet, magazine, newsletter, YouTube channel or podcast.
  • Work that makes a judgement. Tool tutorials and release summaries are not criticism.
  • Editorial independence from model vendors. Vendor-affiliated writers are not excluded. They are admitted with a permanent visible disclosure on every review they file.

What you get

  • A verified byline and profile with your full body of work.
  • Your reviews counted in the Critic Score, one critic one vote.
  • A say in the methodology while it is still being written.

How a review counts

Every admitted critic counts exactly once per title. The Critic Score is the percentage of critics who rated a title positive or mixed, so there is no multiplier sitting behind the number and no pedigree that makes one byline worth two.

That puts all of the judgement at the door. Who is admitted to the roster is the decision that moves scores, it is made by a human against the criteria above, and it is published: every critic has a profile listing their venue, their archive and every review they have filed here.

Get on the roster

We are assembling the founding roster now, and we are especially looking for critics who have already written about titles in this catalogue. To be considered, send your byline, your venue and three representative pieces. Every application is reviewed by a human.

Vendor-affiliated critics are not excluded. They are admitted with a permanent visible disclosure on every review, so declaring it costs you nothing and hiding it costs you the account.

We only ask for what a decision needs. No documents, no ID at this stage.
