Get your film reviewed

Most AI films never get a review from anyone who reviews films for a living. Request one: a professional critic watches your film and writes a fair, honest review, published on ReelCritix and featured on the site.

What you get

  • A full written review from a critic with a public byline and an archive of published criticism.
  • Featured on ReelCritix: the review appears on your film's page and counts toward its Critic Score, and the film is featured on the site while the review is new.
  • Yours to quote. Pull quotes for your festival submissions, press kit and poster, with a link back to the full review.

Or just honest feedback

Not every request has to be about publicity. If you want to know how your film plays to someone who watches films for a living, before a festival deadline or your next cut, ask for that. A professional critic's candid read on what works and what does not is hard to get anywhere else, and it is just as useful when the film is still changing.

Fair and honest, every time

  • The fee buys a critic's time, not their opinion. The critic reviews your film exactly as they would any other. A negative review is published like a positive one, and the fee is not refunded because of a verdict.
  • The verdict is the critic's alone. We do not edit a review's judgement, and you see it when everyone else does.
  • Counted like any other review. Requested reviews are held to the same standard as every review on ReelCritix, which is why they count toward the Critic Score on the same terms.

How it works

  1. Tell us about your film below. A person reads every request.
  2. We confirm the fee, the critic and the timing by email. Nothing is charged until you agree.
  3. The critic watches the film and files the review.

We are assembling a panel of critics now. Early requests are matched as critics join, and you will be told who before you pay anything.
